Community-Events
This service announces community events in the Annapolis Valley area of Nova Scotia; the majority of notices are for music, dance, theatre, art events and related community workshop experiences. There are also announcements for events of a more general nature.
Please do not attach any files to the posts. All posts with attached files will be rejected for security reasons and to aid those with dial-up connections. Embedded images are OK as long as they are optimized (downsized) for web use. Keep images under 100KB if possible. Posts with overly large images will be rejected.
The service is for announcing events only, does not post political or religious events and is not available for discussion of issues.
Note that commercial venues may post event notices to the list, but please limit to one post per week per venue, and include only information about events. We cannot accept posts that include advertising for accommodations, food services, etc.
The list manager reserves to right to reject any post. We do not have the resources to engage in extended dialogue about rejected posts. This could include but is not limited to posts that are off-topic, contain illegal content, offensive content or are of a purely commercial nature.
Subscribers' names and emails are available only to the list manager, are held in confidence and are not sold or lent to any other organization. They will be released only under court order.
When submitting announcements to the list please ensure:
1. that the list address is in the To: field and please do not Cc: any other addresses.
2. that all information is in the body of the text. (no attachments)
If you use a SPAM filter, please set it to allow email from the lists.capflex.com domain.
community-events@lists.capflex.com. This will be forwarded to the list moderator for approval.

Subscribe to Community-Events by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security but should prevent others from tampering with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you; it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
